The South Australian Institute of Business and Technology (SAIBT) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) enjoy a strong partnership that spans nearly 20 years and has produced more than 6,000 successful graduates.

SAIBT opens the opportunity for you to still get into your preferred bachelor preference. Choose from the Diploma of Arts, Business, Engineering, Health Science or Information Technology which on completion will gain you entry into UniSA and in most instances, provide you with a full year of credit towards your degree.

SAIBT is for students who:

  • did not meet ATAR entrance requirements to get directly into UniSA
  • completed Year 12 but did not attain an ATAR
  • did not complete enough SACE subjects at high school
  • successfully completed Year 11, or
  • are a mature-aged student that did not meet mature-age university entry requirements (assessed case-by-case).

SAIBT is located on UniSA’s City East campus, SAIBT students have access to all UniSA’s services and facilities and study in a vibrant and diverse learning environment with small class sizes and personalised teaching. Core classes are capped at 25 students. This allows for one on one support, interaction and assistance between teaching staff and students and allows teachers to better assess individual student needs.

It may be possible to have the Diploma packaged with your UniSA Bachelor preference. Please refer to the SAIBT webpage for the most up-to-date information on packaged bachelor options and course credit.

CRICOS Provider No: 02193C

Students can commence at SAIBT after Year 11 or Year 12, with a low or no ATAR result. After the SAIBT Diploma, you can apply to your preferred UniSA Bachelor program via SATAC, or if you were issued with a packaged offer you will simply transfer between SAIBT and UniSA. This process will be explained in detail to you during your last trimester with us.
